I have a scarlet macaw and an eclectus male, among other birds. These two need companions as the eclectus male has been plucking his feathers for some time now. I recued the macaw from an actor that had him in a cage on the side of an empty house under renovations.
I have very large cages and we care for them with love and great nourishing food, but I understand the need for them to have a companion and to be entertained and active. I can foster or adopt a female macaw and a female eclectus. Or I am even willing to let my eclectus be in a sanctuary if he would be happy. Any suggestions??

I have about 25 cockatiels, 2 yellow napes, a macaw and an eclectus. I suffer everyday seeing that my parrots are in cages (these are custom made very large cages) and they would be much happier in the wild but I don't know what could be done now that they have been living in captivity all their lives. Unless they are rehabilitated to live on their own, I doubt that they could survive in the wild and most important how and where is the wild that I can send them to?
I rescued most of them that were unwanted by their owners.
